Returning to Seoul
I’ll be heading back to Seoul for round two on August 19th (arriving two days later due to the length of travel and time difference). It will be great fun to see all my new friends again.

I posted some pictures of where I live. Some of my Korean friends didn’t believe me when I described Hauser Lake to them. Now they have undeniable proof. I’d like to get a photo of an osprey or heron before I return to Seoul so they can see I didn’t make that up either.
I ate a lot of new and strange things in Korea, but live octopus? It’s actually a small species called nakji (not babies, like I thought). I did eat octopus in Seoul, both cooked and raw (the latter might have been squid, but it was definitely raw tentacle, served along with other types of sushi), but live? Probably not gonna happen.
Check out the second video on the page. Then, if you think can stomach it, view the others. The one where they eat the entire octopus at once is pretty, um … intense.
