Seoul International Convention Montage

A brother sent this to me. I don’t know who made it, but the video is a nice montage of pictures from the “Keep on the Watch!” International Convention held in Seoul this August. You can play directly from the link or right click and choose “Save Link As…” to download to your computer. Enjoy.

Edit: I’m sorry, but the link above no longer works because the large number of downloads exceeded my bandwidth limits. If you send me an email at dhochee_remove_this@gmail.com, I would be happy to provide you with a copy of the file via a public file sharing service.

  1. What a Joy to see the Love Jehovah’s People have through out the World. It brought Tears to My Eyes. Not of Hurt but of Love & Pride. Jehovah really wants the Whole Earth to Feel this Way.
    Good Job….Love Ya,

  2. Wow! I applied to go to this convention but I got selected for Hawaii instead. I was quite disappointed. Really I was. But at least I get to see what I missed. Absolutely beautiful. It makes me wanna buy a hanbok. The pictures of the drama reminded me of many scenes from kdramas I’ve watched over the years. But listening to the new kingdom songs playing in the background, it didn’t sound like they were singing in Korean. Maybe I need to listen again. Oh well, thanks for posting. I really enjoyed it.

  3. I think you’re probably right Trashell. I didn’t hear any ‘eyo’s or ‘nida’s at the end of words, which are pretty much ubiquitous in Korean. However, I just listened to the recording I made with my own camera when they played the new music on Friday (which I’m sure was in Korean), and it sounded quite similar. It’s funny how much different language sounds in song than in normal speech. In any case, I just emailed a Korean friend to confirm one way or the other. I’ll update when I find out.

  4. Yep, it’s Korean. You’d think after two and half years here I’d be able to at least identify it. *sigh*

  5. Hi Dan, thanks for sharing this. I get the link from a german brother. The video touch our heart. Greetings from Germany

  6. I’m surprised! I was listening for those same ending sounds. Well thanks for looking into it for me. How’d you wind up in Seoul and how do you like living there so far?

  7. Very nice photos. You can feel the love and joy our brothers have on the convention. Thank you!

  8. Trashell - I work for an American company with a partner company here in Seoul. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it, but it looks like it will be coming to an end here in in the next six months or so. I love the friends here and will definitely have mixed feelings when I leave, unless I decide to make a big leap and find some way to stay. :-)

  9. This video really brought tears to my eyes and made me so proud of being in Jehovah’s organization. What a blessing it is to be a part of such a loving organization. Agape love all the way from Columbus, Georgia =)

  10. Hi Dan

My dear brother thanks so much in your effort to share these encouraging photos with the friends.

I was too late to get an oppurtunity to view it myself, but I can view it at the home of the sister that sent the email to me. Continue your efforts. They are appreciated.

  11. Dan - So you work for a chaebol? LOL! I love Korean culture. How much bulgogi do you think you’ve eaten since you’ve been in Seoul? We have a nice size Korean population here in Houston and this huge Super H Korean market. We also have one Korean congregation here. I’ve visited there only once but I really want to see Korea for myself. One day…one day for sure. Well enjoy the rest of your time in Seoul. But if you decide to make the leap, I’m sure Jehovah will help you stick the landing! An yong!

  12. Hello!

Thank you so much for uploading this video. I’ve always wanted to be there.Seeing this video somehow made me see what I missed. It is such a great joy seeing Jehovah’s Witnesses from around the world gather for one great purpose–hearing Jehovah’s words.
